A pleasent surprise.

Over the past year I have purchased a total of 14 UHF wireless mics from GTD Audio. They are performing very well in several types of applications. I needed a set of four belt pack mics for a railroad coach. Since the application was less critical and the distance from the transmitters to the receiver was less than 60', I decided to purchase this VHF set. While the receiver and transmitters were pre-programmed to a set frequency and not changeable like the UHF sets and don't have mute or a display screen they worked perfectly. Using the belt pack power switch to act as a mute button worked just as well as the UHF set's mute. When turning the packs on and off there was no noticeable pop or sound in the speakers. As the actors passed through the railroad coach they were at times less than 3 feet from the speakers. I was able to get enough gain from the system to suit the needs of the actors with no feedback. If you have a small venue application and don't need any of the features of the more expensive UHF sets, there are the mics for you. (11 Aug 2019, 00:33)
