Used for Community Theatre
We purchased 4 of these sets for use in our community theatre during our plays and musicals, and they are great!!! They are simple to use for the actors, have a lock feature on the mic packs which is awesome (especially with kids), they have great range, and no problems running an entire 2 hr show on 1 battery charge. Would highly recommend if your looking for an affordable option to get wireless mics on your actors! Also we did have an issue with one of the transmitters, I contacted their support via email and got a response back very quick and they shipped a new one out to us immediately! So great support as well!Andrew (17 Mar 2023, 14:36)
28 channels with no issues
We provide sound reinforcement for numerous community theatre groups in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Routinely we run 24 to 28 channels of wireless mics for theatre productions with no issues. Reliability exceeds all expectations. I would compare the products reliability to that of other parts on the market. Replacement parts are cost effective and readily available. We have great success with the GTD Audio single earhook headset mics.Joseph Moore (04 Dec 2019, 08:59)
Community Theater
I have purchased three of these in the past, but had to purchase four new units due to the new FCC frequency rule changes. I use these for our community theater group, Decatur Underground Theater. They have essentially worked flawlessly, for the most part. My only issues are I've had sever transmitters fail over the past couple of years; troubleshooting revealed a broken connection between the circuit board and antenna, which was more difficult to fix than it should be. A couple of transmitters flat out failed. However, replacements are cheap enough. I have had LOTS of battery door clips break or flat out break off. The manual suggests putting all channels on all units in the same group (which is technically correct), but the units will not allow that configuration. In any case, I have had little problem with them (a transmitter jumping channels on its own in one case), and am pretty satisfied with them (especially for the money).Tim Revis (16 Jul 2019, 11:48)
Great for our purpose!
Bought 3 of these units for our local community theater productions last year. They have used them in every show since with very good results. They aren’t indestructible, but you can easily replace a body pack or a microphone at a reasonable cost.RC TarHeel (30 Mar 2019, 15:00)
2 Units, 8 Pack Work Well Together!
Have received my second GTD Audio 4x800 Ch UHF Diversity Wireless Lapel Microphone 787L, and thought I would put down a few thoughts. I had the receiver and transmitters side by side when tuning in and found when I got to the second unit it kept coming up with "full" on the display. A thought hit me and I put a bit of distance between the receivers and transmitters and all tuned with ease! I tested them in a known High RF area as have had issues with Senheiser XS and Mipro systems receiving a signal when the transmitters are off creating noise through the PA. The GTD systems are in the same Frequency range BUT seemed to have no issues with it at all! Apart from mics being a tad directional all 8 pack worked well and interference free together. The only other thing I noticed is the manual had the Pack pin connection incorrect, I have found the pins are, pin 1 Hot with mic voltage + and pin 3 Ground ( The Lavalier mics are wired this way). Have not had them long so no idea yet on longevity.Joshua Boxer (30 Oct 2015, 00:48)
