Very good direct line of sight range, inexpensive to maintain

Our major application is using 10 G733 belt packs in a 600 seat theatre, together with some Shure SLX wireless receivers All the receivers have 150 feet line of sight range from the stage and once the belt packs are locked, we can trust that there will be no issues when running a show. The GTD-Audio G733 receiver sounds much the same as the Shure SLX system when used wehn single over the ear beige microphones. The GTD-Audio handheld is perfectly acceptable but needs a foam windshield to prevent 'pops' with untrained speakers. We use the optional GTD-Audio single over the ear beige microphones with face tape or place flat on the top of the head when an actor is wearing a wig. and use a Mackie mixer with sweepable mids to get a natural tone. We run the wireless mics through the theatre's flyable left and right speaker arrays and can get some real volume going on the solos in musical shows without any feedback. The actors can get very close together without any interference for the belt packs There are some slight quality issues that have been seen owning several G-733 systems - in a recent order, one G733 receiver has a worse signal to noise than the others (quality control?) and is relegated to the lound performers and one out of warranty belt pack had to have additional internal shielding tape added to prevent an audio "whine". However the low cost of replacement belt packs and mics take the worry out when the system is used for youth performances. The range and sound quality is comparable to the Shure SLX system that we also own which costs four times as much and more expensive to repair However a big plus is that microphones and belt packs are inexpensive to replace, especially after a youth performance run, where they are hard on the equipment.
